After having some amazing chicken street tacos at a farmers market over summer, it's been hard to calm my craving for simple tacos that don't have a lot of extra ingredients. Thankfully I found some amazing pre-marinated meat from Trader Joe's that makes my life 1000 times easier when I am craving the summer taste of street tacos!
It really doesn't matter if it's Taco Tuesday -- my craving for these tacos can be any day of the week.
Ingredients:
1 - Trader Joe's Pollo Asado Meat
Half - Small onion (diced)
1 - Trader Joe's Pico De Gallo
Corn Tortillas
Lime
Cilantro
Optional: Chips & Guac (of course)
To make:
To start off, we turned the stove on to heat our skillet. Once it was hot, we put the meat on the skillet (feel free to choose between the carne asada or the pollo asado! Both are amazing in flavor). We liked to cut the meat into smaller, bite sized chunks so it was easier to cook and also easier to divide up once we were done cooking the tacos.
Once the meat was done cooking, it was really up to each of us to add what we wanted onto each of our tacos. To keep the ingredients simple, I just add meat, pico de gallo, onions and cilantro to corn tortillas so that I can taste the flavors of the marinated meat.
